According to the AP, national security think-tank The CNA Corporation, six retired admirals, and five retired generals have written a new report detailing the effects that global warming will have on National Security in the next 30-40 years. In their report, they predicted wars over water, hunger, disease, and flooding to occur at alarming rates, ruining and ending the lives of people all over the world. Gen. Anthony “Tony” Zinni, former commander of U.S. Central Command, writes, “We will pay to reduce greenhouse gas emissions today, and we’ll have to take an economic hit of some kind. Or we will pay the price later in military terms. And that will involve human lives. There will be a human toll.”
