Another Tsunami hit Indonesia Monday (July 17, 2006), caused by a 7.7 magnitude earthquake which struck just off of Indonesia’s coast. The small island of Java was hit hardest by the subsequent tsunami, and the total death toll so far has already passed the 550 mark. As Global Warming continues to progress, the world’s climate system is being stressed more and more, to such an extent that natural disasters such as this one are occurring more frequently and are becoming much more intense.
