In response to Alan’s recent comment inquiring about the affect rockets have on our precious ozone layer, here’s a great article by The Aerospace Corporation that addresses these issues. While the launching of rockets is detrimental to our ozone, most of the damage is due to the emission of harmful and destructive chemicals, rather than the ‘piercing’ of our ozone, as was implied by the needle and tire example. Well, I been keeping my blogging focused solely on Global Warming for a while, and I am getting a little stir-crazy. I’m ready to branch out and cover more material. So, let me introduce you to Checks And Balances (CAB), GWI’s sister project, and my new baby. CAB is a blog that focuses on protecting our civil and human rights by examining the legality of President George W. Bush’s actions and more specifically, the War on Terror. It just got up and running so there isn’t much to look at yet, but there will be soon! But, before you get all upset, let me assure you that GWI will of course stay up and running and will continue to serve and educate the public.
